Hydraulic Release Bearings

RAM hydraulic release bearings offer you the necessary flexibility for setting up the clutch release system in your early or late model car or truck.  Our heavy-duty versions, which use larger o-rings. offer the utmost in durability and long life over factory and other aftermarket hydraulic systems.  RAM hydraulic bearings are fully adjustable and set up easily with most any aftermarket clutch, single or dual disc.  Specific models with a wider bearing face are available for 3 and 6 lever clutch applications.

Universal bearing kits are available for early and late model transmissions, including Muncie, Saginaw, Borg Warner, Richmond, and Tremec 5 and 6 speeds.  Universal kits include the bearing assembly, anti-rotation stud, inlet fittings, bleeder hose, bleeder fitting, and adjustment shims.  RAM recommends a minimum ¾ bore size master with a minimum of 1.1” stroke.

RAM vehicle specific hydraulic release bearing kits are engineered for specific applications in GM, Ford, and Chrysler late model performance cars.  These kits include all of the lines, fittings, and adapters to connect to the factory master cylinder as well as an external bleeder line kit.  Six speed models include a base collar that bolts to the front of the transmission to accommodate the bearing installation.  These application specific models help facilitate the installation of RAM or other aftermarket clutches that may have different installed heights from the factory clutch.  RAM aftermarket hydraulic bearings are not compatible with GM factory ‘self-adjusting’ pressure plate clutch systems.
