Montecalvo, Rickie Smith eye return to winners circle at Rockingham
|

|
After a highly successful month in ADRL
competition, John Montecalvo and Rickie Smith head to Rockingham
next week with the points lead in their respective Extreme Pro Stock
and Pro Nitrous categories. Smith is coming off 3 straight
wins at the Independence Drags, UTI Texas Drags, and Dragpaloooza VI
with a string of low 3.90 second passes under his belt.
Similarly, Montecalvo notched 4 consecutive wins in the same events
and the previous Ford 1 Summer Drags. Good luck to all our ADRL
customers as we enter the stretch run to the 'Battle for the Belts'! |

Richmond: Shannon Jenkins
wins in Pro Nitrous, Brian Gahm in Extreme Pro Stock |

In Pro Nitrous, number one and number
two qualifiers Shannon Jenkins (3.89) and Rickie Smith outlasted the
field to meet in the final round, with Jenkins taking the win 3.87
to a 3.95 for Smith. Extreme Pro Stock saw Bob Bertsch on top
of the field with a 4.06, but when the final pair rolled to the line
for the championship, it was Brian Gahm getting a win over red-hot
Cary Goforth in a close 4.10 to 4.12 second race. Congrats to
these RAM customers! |

Adding to our line of driveable dual
disc clutches for street, RAM will introduce the Force 9.5 dual disc
unit June 1. Force 9.5
features a light pedal effort cover and the same smooth engaging
organic discs as its big brother, Force 10.5.
Torque capacities are in the 800 ft/ lb. Range, and all units
include a ground and balanced billet aluminum flywheel.
At just over 33 pounds, Force 9.5 affords a lower inertia
that our larger units and carries a retail price of under $1000!

Performance sweeps Real Street at NMRA Atco
The one-two punch of
Tim Matherly and Jim Breese combined for the win and runner up at
the NMRA Downs Ford Nationals last weekend.
Matherly took the win, setting the record in the process with
a 9.48 second blast. |

Vinnie
Barone tops Comp field at NHRA Atlanta, Janis Runner Up in Pro Mod
|

Vinnie Barone drove his A/ Street
Roadster to the Competition eliminator win at the NHRA Summit Racing
Southern Nationals in Atlanta.
Vinnie qualified number two with a 7.78 and took the win with
a -.592 7.80 second
run. In Pro Modified,
Mike Janis qualified number one at 5.91 and finished in the runner
up spot. Congrats Mike
and Vinnie! |

Designed
for high horsepower street performance where stock pedal feel is desired,
the Force 10.5 incorporates a strap driven floater plate rather than
stand driven in order to provide completely quiet operation. Racing
type stand driven units like the original Street Dual are susceptible to
some floater plate noise at idle.
This dual disc features the same potential torque levels exceeding
950 ft./pounds for the 300 series disc version, 1300 ft/pounds for the 900
series version.
As with the original Street Dual, the clutch system includes an
easy pedal effort 2400 pound clamp load, and smooth engaging RAM 300
series friction discs. The flywheel is billet aluminum with a steel friction insert, and
the unit is completely rebuildable.

recommends the original stand driven Street Dual for maximum life and
performance.
This clutch system is available for all late model applications

RAM Hydraulic bearings
for 2010 Camaro |

RAM
extends its applications for their hydraulic release bearings to include
the 2010 Camaro.
The RAM hydraulic release bearing kit contains all the necessary
fittings and adapters to connect the bearing to the factory master
cylinder, including a quick connect fitting to the master.
The included spacer allows for easy setup height with most clutch
systems.
The RAM hydraulic bearing is compatible with all RAM Clutch systems
and most other manufacturer’s units, with proper setup.

material has a long history of durability in industrial applications.
RAM now introduces Kevlar pilot bushings for popular Ford and GM
applications.
By utilizing Kevlar for these pilot bushings, wear is significantly
reduced versus bronze or needle bearing bushings that wear or lose
lubrication over time.
Kevlar bushings are self lubricating and offer low susceptibility
to damage from heat while maintaining their dimensional stability.
Kevlar
pilot bushings available for small and big block Chevrolet using bronze
bushings or roller bearings (including LS), and for Ford apps utilizing
needle bearings such as late model 5.0L and 4.6L/5.4L engines. Replace
your pilot bearing or bushing with a RAM Kevlar bushing and you might
